Here is what I want you to know:
I believe that you wholeheartedly know what is best for you at all times.
I trust that each of us has the innate wisdom within to heal from whatever may have been presented to us.
We all have gifts and magic that we are meant to give light to in this world.
I want us to work together so that you are empowered to shine your light and live the life you are meant to live.
Who am I?
Thanks for stopping in, friends! I’m Kate! Here are a few things about me!
I am a yoga teacher. I have been practicing on and off again since 2003! My first class was sometime around my senior year of high school and the class I took was in a gym in our neighborhood. I completed my first teacher training in 2015 (200 hours) and after having taught for just a few years, I wanted more! I completed my 300 hours in 2018. Both of these trainings were with CorePower Yoga.
I have taught yoga in the community, at a parole office, a police academy, prisons, fire departments and most recently to a high school boys basketball team!
I have completed my 600-hour Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification through Kerala Ayurveda USA. And I am very excited to be continuing in my studies with Kerala to complete my Ayurvedic Practitioner Certificate.
Outside of my healing studies and work, I worked for nearly 12 years with the Colorado Department of Corrections. I served as a Community Parole Officer, Training Specialist and the Training Coordinator. Through these positions, I was able to develop initial training in coaching professionals both in groups and in 1:1 sessions.
I have my undergrad in Social Work and Master’s in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration with an emphasis on Organizational Learning and Development (what a long title!) from Colorado State (Fort Collins and Global).
Starting 2020 of all years, I began teaching introduction to Criminal Justice courses at a local community college in Colorado.
I share all of this to say that teaching and learning have been passions of mine for many years!
